A first rate hotel in an excellent location right in the heart of the old city. You won't find better in the area! It is very modern and clean. Staff and service are excellent. Rooms are modern, clean and we'll appointed. The room was air conditioned and the bed was very comfortable and kept my wife's fragile back in good shape. The bathroom was spacious and well appointed - the shower was great. The hotel also has a first class indoor pool and spa with a beautiful Turkish bath! We indulged in a full Turkish bath experience followed by a message and it was wonderful. This hotel has a rooftop restaurant with fantastic views which is where the breakfast buffet is served which was beyond amazing! So many Turkish dishes and more. There was an amazing selection and everything was tasty, fresh, beautifully prepared and presented. The hot dishes were changed each day so there is good variety for those staying a few days. In the evenings, the rooftop restaurant offers a full service dinner menu that is delicious and the view of the Bosphorous is amazing. There are numerous restaurants just up the street from the hotel. 3 restaurants stood out - ŞATO’s Restaurant, Vista Roof Lounge and Queb Rooftop Restaurant!. The Queb Rooftop Restaurant (on top of the Byzantium Hotel & Suites) is simply the BEST rooftop restaurant in the area! Its has the best view overall, excellent food and service, and best of all it is reasonably priced. We went there twice and it won our hearts for our last dinner in Istanbul. Just a 15-20 minute walk and you can be at the Sultan Ahmet Park between the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque. There is a small and inviting Arasta Bazaar just before you reach the Sultan Ahmet Park that you should visit. It is a mini version of the Grand Bazaar.

Taxi to and from airport arranged by hotel went perfectly and was very welcome given the timing of flights from/to Edinburgh. (Don't forget your Euros to pay hotel on arrival-even in middle of night.) Room comfortable and spotless, with the most lovely bed linen and a generous bathroom which provided every item of toiletries you could need. Large bottle of water provided every day. There was even a small plate of sweet treats in the room to welcome us. Dressing gowns-great for heading down to spa. Pool had a very stylish relaxing vibe. Friendly, attentive service everywhere in hotel. Breakfast had something for everyone, a magnificent view from the restaurant, and if you have a sweet tooth you will be in heaven with the daily changing selection of pastries and desserts. There is a small secluded courtyard garden with seating, tables with umbrellas etc. where you can smoke. We were in a deluxe room with sea view-windows on three sides. Hotel really close to the Hippodrome and tram stop, just cut through Bazaar at top of road as it has stairs that take you up to the small park behind Blue Mosque (where cats lovers will find small friends that appreciate the odd treat). Transport really cheap. Get tram then short ferry across to Asia for good market and great street food at reasonable prices.

The hotel is very centrally located, but it is of human size, cozy, in a little quiet street, perfect insonorisation, so it is really calm and relaxing there. The rooms are well furnished, high quality bed clothing and towels-always fresh and fragrant. The hotel has a splendid rooftop terrace with the panoramic view, their breakfast is above expectations-for the variety, quality and top service. Really some five stars do not compare to them in terms of breakfast, so really well done. The hotel has a swimming pool and a spa, the swimming pool is with the heated sea water, which is a great plus. The service is attentive and efficient. The hotel is very clean and the room service is perfect. despite its little size, the hotel has several elevators, all is well thought for the comfort of the customer. I truly recommend this hotel, and will be back as well.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Good selection at breakfast. We had an issue with our room and we were moved with an apology and a smile, just what you want when there is an issue. We will definitely return. The location is good, in walking distance to the blue mosque, restaurants, a small bazaar and a small train/shuttle service. Nice spa area in the basement which is included in the price with a pool, sauna and steam room. Massages etc are available at an extra cost. Great view of the Bosphorus straight from the restaurant (and I assume rooms that are higher up).

Anna

The hotel is very elegant and spotlessly clean. The staff are extremely helpful. Breakfast is excellent at the rooftop restaurant. Swimming pool and gym are very good with showers, sauna, steam room and towels provided. The hotel is a few metres to bars and restaurants and in easy walking distance to the major sites in Sultanahmet - Topkapi Palace, Hagia, Blue Mosque.
